The Federal Public Defender’s Office for the Central District of California is accepting applications for full-time investigator positions in the trial unit for our Los Angeles office. The trial unit is committed to the pursuit of justice by aggressively advocating in federal court for the constitutional rights and inherent dignity of individuals who are accused or convicted of crimes and cannot afford their own lawyer.

San Joaquin County Public Defender is searching for an experienced, public agency law enforcement criminal investigator who possesses the leadership, initiative, adaptability and flexibility to assume management and supervision of a unit of investigators for a period of limited duration,
expected to not exceed 6 months.
The Chief Public Defender Investigator plans, coordinates and supervises the investigative
functions of the Public Defender’s Office. Direction is received from the Public Defender and Assistant Public Defender.
